Vision
The Department of English Language Arts aspires to produce qualified generations with the skills that enable them to participate actively and positively in the professional and literary fields and to contribute effectively and effectively to various aspects of development and leadership in the English language and the French language.
Message
The mission of the Department of English Language Arts is to enhance the college’s orientation towards excellence at the local, regional, and global levels, by providing distinguished academic programs characterized by creativity in learning and collective scientific research in the disciplines of literature and language, and by taking advantage of the best methods available in the world in order to provide students with scientific and practical skills. Which qualifies them to serve and advance society in a world where languages constitute the most important foundations of effective, vital cultural communication.
Objectives
- Ensuring outputs that have skills characterized by understanding and awareness of the nature of dealing with different cultures and have the necessary skills to carry out such dealings.
- Developing linguistic and communicative skills and competencies to enable them to work successfully using English and French in later stages and in social and professional life in general.
- Enhancing students’ competencies in the English and French languages through the use of modern technologies, which have a positive impact on developing the personal, intellectual, social and professional aspects.
- Developing students’ skills in the English language as a foreign language in the field of language, literature and translation.
- Developing students’ skills in the French language in the field of comparison and application to expand students’ understanding of the technical aspects of foreign languages.
- Encouraging students to think critically, which qualifies them to understand the culture of the English-speaking world.
